Ultra T-Ball

Kia ora bloggers, yesterday Whaea Keasy came back to play T-Ball with us. Whaea Keasy is really talented at T-ball and Softball. My team did really well because we got the most points and played very fairly. The hardest thing for me was hitting the ball out of the air because the pitcher throws the ball into the air and we have to hit the ball. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post and have you play T-Ball or SoftBall?

Ultra T-Ball

Kia ora Bloggers, Yesterday we played some more T-Ball with Whaea Kasey. I enjoyed playing T-Ball because we all had fun and played fair. My group started off as the fielders and it was really fun because I was the back stopper. The back stopper has to catch the ball and place it down on the mat when someone tries to make a homerun. It was really easy to get some of the batters out. I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Blog you later!

Awesome Te Reo Maori

Kia ora bloggers. A few days ago my group started to make an animation for a Te reo Maori weather forecast. We started to make the script in week 2 term 4. The easiest part was to make the script because we got help from our teacher Whaea Chrissy. The hardest part was to learn how to say the Maori words because it’s hard for me to say some words. Here is a link to the Te Reo weather forecast. I hope you enjoy this blog post. Blog you later!

Have you ever made a Te Reo weather forecast?

Ultra Athletics

Kia ora bloggers, last week my school started to practice for athletics day. I liked the first couple of days because I did sprints and relays. I think the hardest part for me was versing the fastest people in my group. I was one of the fastest people in my group, but I thought I was going to be very slow but I wasn’t. Athletics is very fun because you can do different events, like high jump, long jump and shot put.

Do you like Athletics?

AWESOME FISHING DAY!

Kia ora bloggers, in the holidays my dad and I went fishing. We went to go fish at the Waitangi Golf Course, we caught a 14 pound kingy. It was really hard to pull in, but my dad tried his hardest because we hadn’t caught a fish at all that day. My dad said it was a shark because how it was fighting, plus the kingy was really big. Once my dad pulled the kingfish in he told me to get a knife and stab it so we could have it for dinner.

Have you ever caught a 14 pound kingy?

Awesome Cross Country

Kia ora Bloggers, yesterday my class was practicing for Cross Country. I think Cross Country will be fun because we can run around and be free. I think the year 7 and year 8 students will get the hardest run because we have to run up a steep hill and run back down the hill. It will be easier running down the hill because we have more speed running. The most challenging thing will be running around the field and running up the hill without stopping. The hardest thing for me in practices, is running without stopping around the whole school. I hope you enjoyed this blog!

Have you ever run a whole Cross Country without stopping?

Awesome Music Lab

Kia ora bloggers, last week we went on this new site called Chrome Music Lab. Chrome Music Lab helps us write songs and all sorts of sounds, you will notice once you try it out. It was really fun to play with because it was something new that we were learning to do. First, we tried out rhythm. Then, we went on to different levels like song maker, spectrogram and sound waves. It was kind of hard to play with “Chrome Music Lab” because we weren’t able to pick anything to try out and the teacher picked the lessons we tried first. I recommend you try it out with other people and play around on this site. Here's a link to the Chrome Music Lab

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and have a good day!

Have you ever tried this site before?

Ultra Wonder project

Kia ora bloggers a few day ago my class watched some movies that we all made. The hardest thing for me was to finish the script because I was mainly making it by myself but Wariua my buddy and Boston helped just a little bit with the script.I recommend if you try make a movie pick the right people to do the movie with because some people might not come to school every day. I think it was fun to make a movie for the first time because we had fun and learnt. I learnt to always bring the same clothes because my group kept on changing clothes and it looked funny.

Have you ever made a Movie at school?

Ultra Wonder project

Kia ora bloggers a few days ago we  were doing The Wonder Project. My group had to launch because we hadn’t launched in one week and I was really excited to launch because we put on new fins. When we launched we used 55 PSI which is air pressure and the water level was 220mls. The launch was incredible because my group set a new record for the furthest launch and it went 66.6 metres. The hardest thing was to put the wings on the rocket and you needed two people to help put the wings on the rocket. Hope you enjoyed this Blog post!

Have you ever made a bottle rocket?

Kia ora bloggers, today we were making my teacher a digital card because we haven’t seen her in a long time. My teacher's name is Whaea Becks, she was very nice to me and my class. I really miss her because she hasn't come back to school but I hope she does. Whaea Becks had a very bad accident, she broke her bone and couldn’t walk for a while, But I know she is strong, plus, she would never ever give up. If you see this blog Whaea Becks I hope you’re doing ok! Remember to never give up! Here is a link to my digital card, Hope you enjoy this blog Post.

Ultra Wonder Project

Kia ora bloggers today we did the Wonder Project my group launched our rocket and it didn’t go that far, We are putting on different wings because the other wings weren't good. The materials that we need for the rocket was two 1.5 litre bottles, some tape, and some cardboard for the wings. The most difficult part for me was putting on the wings because you had to hold the bottle still, the new wings we are putting on the rocket are called elliptical fins and I hope they will be good for the new wings. Hope you enjoy! Have you ever launched a rocket or have you ever made a rocket before?

Ultra Movie making

Kia ora bloggers, yesterday we were making our Movie because its Movie making day. It took a long time to get my script done. I was mainly doing it by myself because my group was mucking around. We now get to record the Movie today because we finished the script.

When you make a movie it is really hard because you have to think of ideas plus  choose the right people to be in your group because some people might not come to school all of the time. So I hope you have a wonderful day!

Have you ever made a movie by yourself or with a group?

Flaming PE

Kia ora Bloggers Yesterday we did PE. We did basketball, netball, soccer and turbo touch. My team won the PE games because we were versing each other. We got 7 goals I think but it was really fun to play because my friends were there as well. My favorite games that we played were, turbo touch and soccer. I recommend you try playing all these games because it is really fun and you can talk to your friends when you are playing, and that's a bonus to have more fun if you get bored. Blog you later.

What do you like to play out of basketball, netball, soccer and turbo touch

Wonder project

Kia ora bloggers, we have done The Wonder Project. If you don’t know what The Wonder Project is, it is when some scientists from Auckland University come into our classroom  and tell us about how to make a rocket. We need to get a couple of 1.5 litre bottles so we can make a rocket. The materials we need are going to need are, an empty plastic bottle, cardboard (to make four fins), a cork, a pump with a needle adapter and enough water. I learnt that you always have to wear safety gear and stand back several metres, just incase something happens.  Hope you have a good day, thanks for checking my post.  Then it would look like this

  The Wonder people names are.

Awesome Cross Country

Kia ora today we did some PE, we had to run at a pace we could keep for 20 minutes We are practicing because of our cross country that we have to do in a couple weeks. I did a lot of laps but I got tired so fast. It was very fun because I was trying to run up to my friends who were in front of me. I didn’t stop at all. I was challenging  myself to do over 15 laps, but I only did 13 laps. I was still happy with that.

How far can you run without stopping?

The beginning of a new adventure

Kia ora bloggers yesterday we were learning how to read a book in Maori because we haven’t done  Te Reo Maori for a long time
but we finally got back into it. My teacher read a story to us in Maori. After she read the book we played a memory game using
words and  pictures that match each other in Te Reo Maori. It took me and my group 10 minutes to finish the game.  It was fun
because we worked together.

Hope you enjoyed reading my post. Have you learnt any Maori words?

FLAMING TIK-TOK

Kia ora, on Friday we had a assembly we did a two Tik tok dances I was in the 3rd row. It was funny because me and my friends were playing around, and talking. When the music started we were having fun and making some mistakes. Here is a link to our video that the teacher did when we were dancing in front of the school. It takes a couple of days to learn how to do the dances.  What I think was hard is learning the steps and to do the wiggling  in savage when we were on the floor dancing , but what I thought was easy is, the second song because it was easy steps.

What do you think we could of fix when we were dancing?

My own timetable

Yesterday my teachers let my class choose what to do on are own time. So they gave us a book to write our timetable, I included art, t-shaped, dlo- math, blog commenting and blog post. It is better for me and my friends because when we are told what to do it takes the fun out of it. I think it's definitely better for me because it helps me  learn easily because it’s way more fun.

Do your teachers let you pick what you can do?

Trick Shot

Yesterday my friends and I had to make a chain reaction in a trick shot video with in 5 seconds. We failed a couple times but we were happy at some points  because we made the trick shot a few times .I think we all worked good together and talked a lot. The materials we used was a lot of cardboard, one cup, one ball and books. We learnt to never ever give up and try our  hardest because then we would get it in. Some of my friends and I were getting angry because we kept on knocking the books over and over. It was so fun though because we had enjoyed spending time together and working well.

My Air Plane Name.

𝕎𝕖𝕝𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕔𝕠𝕠k'y 𝔸𝕀ℝ𝕃𝕀ℕ𝔼𝕊
I think this is a good name because  I would  give free cookies  to kids if there are not happy or if they are sad.
On board we give cookies inspired activities  to the younger childrens.
I think it would make the kids happy and quit. And at towards the end of the flight when the lollies a given out I give them different flavoured  cookies.
And at the end of the flight i word give them a free cooky balloon.

My portrait of Mr fresh

Mr fresh. Hello Bloggers Today I made a portrait of Mr fresh Asian. It took me about 20 minutes to finish making the portrait of one of my favourite YouTubers, and what we are using to make it is called Vector art.
All I had to do was use polyline and get a picture of Mr fresh and curve around him while I was using polyline.
We did this because we had to make a portrait of who inspires you. Before I made Mr fresh I had made a dog with polyline again.
This was fun because I learnt some new stuff and when I was using polyline I made a mistake and I had to fix it a couple of times. I will put a photo so I can show you how I did this. I hope you enjoy looking at the photo and thanks for listening.

What do you think I could have worked on my curve of Mr fresh.

Here is the photo of Mr fresh that I curved.

Technology

Last week the year 7’s went to technology for the first time on the bus. The year 8’s had already gone to tech last year and we went on week 1 the first term. Once we got to technology we had to wait for the teachers at the gate. We waited at the corner of the room. When the year 7’s went into the classroom there was a technology teacher called Mr E and the E stands for Edwards and he had some strict rules. All of the rules were to have fun and to enjoy the moment, one other rule was to not run around in the classroom and to use safety gloves and safety glasses because if we hurt yourself it’s our fault. It was so fun    and I experience a nobel artist inside of me. When the bell rang we went straight to the playground there and they were all nice to us but I hurt myself when we were playing on the playground I sprained my ankle by accident and I had to go to the sick bay and I had to wait for a teacher.

Newspaper challenged

Newspaper challenge

Last week we had a challenge and it was to make a newspaper tower. The materials that we were aloud to use was a 30 cm piece of masking tape, two pieces of newspaper and some scissors. I wanted to cut the newspaper in half but my learning buddy did not want to. so we did. We made third place when the teacher measured it and the height was 16 cm high.
Sorry there was no photo of us.
