Fracti

W.A.L.T. to make a fractions wall. First we had to cut twelve pieces of paper the same length.  First we glued one whole strip, then we folded another strip in 1/2 before cutting it in half and gluing it on our wall. We repeated this process in 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/12ths. We saw patterns when we cut 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/12. We saw another pattern when we cut 1/3, 1/6 and  1/9.  We saw another pattern with 1/5 and 1/10. I found out that writing the numbers and folding

Relationships Presentation-Don't Be Selfish

W.A.L.T. understand relationships using puppets to show the relationship with a buddy. We learnt that you should not be jealous of others and I learnt to be kind. To other and if you be selfish they can maybe tell on you.

Alliteration

Today we had the opportunity to add our voice, using screen castify to our Google slide. When I read my wherch and when the was cheered I side chered.    

Wizards

W.A.L.T. write a recount each week with Sarndra. First we talk about what we did, then we plan the story on a sheet, next we write our recount in our writing books. We have to edit it to make sure it makes sense and check the spelling. Here is my first story, please watch for next weeks story. 

                        Wizard 
 Once there was a wizard and his powerful stick and their hobby was to run and to break rocks. But some werewolf came and they were humongous and the wizard fought and he won the fight. Some elves came a long and there were three elves. The wizard had to fight the elves but the staff turned green when you touched it. It can poison the naughty wizard and he died.

Cross Counter Goals

I.A.L.T. pace myself and to sprint at the beginning and jog at the end and I hope I come first because I came fifth last year.  I run around Kings road 
fifty times a day to practice. 
and the green srem I was verey noervse.

  All the Students in Te Moana have recently begun their own blogs. They are all at the beginner blog stage now but we are all setting our goals to become Smart Bloggers by the end of the year. Please check our blogs all the time to check how we are learning to improve.

I can write an argument about not having waste of time birthdays.

Philipines Celebration Inquiry

I  have been learning about celebrations from the country that my Dad lived in. It is my heritage.

Our Hoe

At the beginning of the year we wrote our hoe for Te Moana class as well as how we collaborate and care for others throughout the school as well as throughout life. We have just revisited it, and discussed the questions with greater meaning.
