The Special pump track

 The special pump track
In the first week we have been  writing on Google Docs about something special and the teachers picked what we first had to write about and that was the pump track. What we were learning to do was  to use passive voice and present tense. I think I used passive voice because I didn’t really see ‘I, am, we.’

What I could do better next time is to use more present tense in my writing.
For example, ‘I liked Fortnite but now I like Roblox and Minecraft.’
I hope you enjoy reading my writing and can I please have some feedback. Writing link

Free standing Newspaper Towers

In the first week we have been making newspaper towers for our steam challenge.
We were learning that the base has to be bigger so the tower could free stand freely. We had to use two pieces of newspaper and one 30 cm piece of tape.

What I could do better next time is to try to think of better ideas. When it was time to see how tall it was, one of my friends went up and tried to make it stand but we had already tried and it didn't stand but he still tried to see how tall it was.

How could I write better next time? Feedback welcome.

Hope you enjoy Reading : )

Swim safety

In Te Ngahere we had a swim safety person called Tracy come in and talk about Six things that can help you stay alive if you are on a boat or when you are swimming.

Six things that keep you alive...

  • Bring swim safety tools with you just in case you get lost,
  • wear a life jacket when you are on a boat or when you are swimming,
  • Bring an adult with you if something happens,
  • Bring a electrictronic Epirb,
  • bring a parachute flare if you get lost and
  • Tell an adult where you are going how many people you are taking with you and what time you will be back.

There are all the Six things that keep you alive.
