Pet Day

In Te Maunga we have been doing pet day activities and we have been making vaseline saucers. We made A&P show posters. We looked at the dogs,rabbits,cats,and other animals. First the dogs came out there were a lot of dogs. Next the cats came out and the owners came too . We made Vaseline saucers and it was hard for me because the petals would not stay down, the glue was hard.

Water Safety

In Te Maunga a few weeks ago we had a water safety lesson with Tracy. We learnt to never swim alone, bring a piece of rope so you can hold it or use a boogie board.Iit is good because you have a rope attached to it so put it on when you are not swimming and never swim alone because you can drown. Check the weather and do not bring you brother if he is a teenager because they will maybe on facebook and get distracted. If your boat breaks down call channel 16 which is the Coast Guard.

Rebecca Brothers

In Te Maunga we have been learning about Rebecca Brother and she has a lot of medals and we have been writing answers about the stuff and when she started. When she was little and what age and she come over on Tuesday she told us about her medals and how much gold,silver,and bronze and it was so cool to see her at our School and we watched a video of other people.

Geometry

In Te Maunga we have made our google slides and we got to pick our math goals. I learnt how to make 3d shapes.  I found it hard to fold them on the line and hard to put them together.

Procedure

In Te Maunga we have been making procedural writing about the pikelets,bird ball, flubber and ween we made pikelets my one was third to put on and Mrs Pou helped me and the others and when we finished on one side it was burnt and it was so hot and so crunchy and same other day later we made a brid ball for the birds in the winter and when we made it was so fun to mix.

In Te Maunga  we have figure out how to make flubber with borax,pva glue,warm water and same food coloring and the one big spoon, one bowl.  We have to use our math problem solving and it was fractions to solve and we all had a turn and we all leant same new things.

Te Reo

n Paihia School we have been learning maori names of kai and other things like words and we have  learnt some new things. famous people and same other stuff and we all have been learning Maori fruit like Panana, Aporo ,Karaka and same others thing .

In Te Maunga we created a google drawing with our math goals and our learning Intention.The W.A.L.T Monitor our learning and it looks very hard to work it out. But if we get help from the  teacher we can get it done sometimes.We get help from our friends. Sometimes we can get it done on our own.

Math

Everyday we been problem solving and measuring how long our wingspan is and before we were doing times table and division too. We were doing 53x5 and our group had to work it out and it had to be the answer 165 and in my group is Franky and Zara and I. Last time we did 35 bikes and trikes. It was getting hard and hard and as hard as it gets and we did not give up and we gave it a try. Our group worked it out by working together and collaborating.

Matariki day

Last week Te Maunga and Te Tahuna went to the Waitangi Treaty  Grounds for Matariki. It was a long walk and a long day too and we got to play same games, do planting and we got to have one pie for free and we had our own lunch and we had to go back to School and the bell rang.

rocky shore Term 2 week 3

We have been learning about rocky shore .and we had to put on what we saw and what we did not.I will help and take good care of the rocky shore by making an sign saying don’t take the rocky shore creatures.

Term 2 week 2 writing goals

At the start of term 2 week 1 we had to do our trem writing goals. We achieved goals at the beginning of term one. We made new goals for term 2.

Term 2 week 3 Math goals

At term 2 we had to make our new goals for math and we choose our own goals for our maths. We had to get the term 1 math goals that we didn't achieve. Mrs Pou made the WALTs for term 1 math goals.
